SNAKE REMOVAL SERVICES
Snakes are reptiles. All reptiles have scales covering their bodies. They prevent excessive dehydration by retaining body moisture. Snakes must regularly shed their skin 2 to 4 times a year as they grow. Snakes move by pushing against objects with specialized scales on their bellies called scoots.
Snakes do not have ears but hear by sensing vibrations through the bones in their head. In addition to being able to smell odors as we do, snakes “taste” the air by using their forked tongue. Most snakes mate in spring after they emerge from hibernation and reproduce by either laying their eggs or by hatching their eggs internally and bearing live young.
All snakes are carnivores praying upon a variety of different animals. Snakes reflexes can remain functional after death, and dead snakes have been known to bite people. You should never attempt to handle or kill a snake you believe is poisonous. Snake handling is best left to the professional. If you are looking for a snake removal company, look no further.
Snake trapping is one of the many services we provide. It is illegal to poison snakes in the state of Indiana. The snake or any other animal that eats the poison could die a slow and miserable death. Sometimes, the best way to solve a snake problem is by doing what we call a snake sweep of the yard. We come out and spend up to one hour searching your property with special snake tongs and a snake bag. If we believe the snake is a smaller snake such as an eastern garter snake, we may leave a snake trap. There are no snake repellents that I believe are effective. Indiana’s non-venomous snakes have round eye pupils and Indiana’s venomous snakes have elliptical pupils. A few of Indiana’s most common poisonous snakes are the copperhead, cottonmouth, and rattlesnake.
We have removed hundreds of snakes in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. If you are having problems with snakes in the yard, snakes in the house, snakes in the attic, snakes in the crawlspace or snakes in the basement, call for your free phone estimate.
